My Recent Reads

Sunday, May 15, 2022

My good friend and I buy books from time to time; I'm not sure if I've mentioned it already here on the blog, but public libraries are not a thing here in the Philippines unfortunately. I used to spend most of my time in the library back in my school days, wherein most students would only consider going there for the aircon.. but I was probably one of those kids who took time to go through the shelves, choose a book, and read quietly in a corner.

On age and adult friendships

Monday, March 21, 2022

I used to think that it was much better to surround myself with friends who were the same age as I was, or older. Being the younger sibling out of two daughters in the family, I always had my older sister to look up to. I was so used to having someone doting on me, to have someone to speak with whenever I had problems, and most especially, to have someone I can borrow clothes from : - )

Coming out of hibernation

Tuesday, March 8, 2022

I've been meaning to come back to this space for the past few days now; it's always been on my mind but I never really got to do it. I guess now is the time, as I sit with my legs crossed on the floor, laptop resting on my lap, my back leaning on the wall.

Recent Loves in November and December 2021

Sunday, January 9, 2022

A blessed new year to you : - ) I hope you've been well and safe.

I wanted to honor my Recent Loves series, and I felt incomplete if I didn't write anything about November and December, so here I am sharing a bit of the small but certain happiness from those two months from the previous year.

Tune In For Love (2019)

Friday, November 26, 2021

One night while scrolling through my Instagram feed after work, I came across a clip wherein there was this guy who was telling a girl that she was the most wonderful person he knew on this earth. Luckily, I was in the mood to watch a rom com film, so I looked at the comments section to check on its title. Turns out, it was Tune in for Love (2019), a Korean film starring Jung Hae-In and Kim Go-Eun. I'm familiar with these names since I've watched Korean dramas with them in it, so I was intrigued by this pairing. I've heard good things about the film and it was under my radar from when it was first released, though somehow I never got to watch it until now..

Recent Loves in October

The season has changed at this time of the year as depicted in novels, films, songs, vlogs, and conversations I have with online friends and colleagues living either at the northern or southern hemisphere in this earth.
